Festival Committee The committee is made up of a group of like-minded local residents who share a love of folk music. The cultural and entertainment benefits that such events bring to families, particularly those with young children, focused our thoughts on how our community could benefit from such a festival. The group feel that few opportunities currently exist within the area for families to share in experiencing high-quality arts events on a limited budget, particularly in a setting in which it is possible for families to discuss the music with their children as it is being performed. After-performance opportunities to meet with artists and discuss music making are also considered to be particularly inspirational opportunities for attendees and artists alike and could prove a catalyst to new talent from within our area.
