Introduction The festival committee has been formed by a group of like-minded local residents of Spratton, who share a love of folk music events and the value such events bring to attendees, whether audience, artist or the community. The committee feel that few opportunities exist within our area for our families to experience high-quality arts events, on a limited budget and a convenient location. Work-shops and after-performance opportunities to meet with artists and discuss music making are also considered to be particularly inspirational opportunities for attendees and artists alike and could prove a catalyst to new talent from within our area. Because this is a non-profit festival for the community, it is our intention, through this website, to provide a clear overview of our efforts, plans, processes and agreements to the public. We are also hoping that this approach will help us enlist local support and ideally some local sponsorship.
