"The Artistic Freedom Collective is delighted to sponsor and help run Spratton Folk Festival fringe stage 2009. The Afcollective is all about supporting and promoting music from the grass roots, we are delighted to be working in association with a festival which shares those values. Previously we provided a full days entertainment at the Kings Head as part of the festival fringe in 2008. This Sunday event proved to be hugely popular and has led to closer ties and cooperation with the main festival in 2009.

The collective began its life in 2006 by a group of musicians who met through the myspace acoustic forum. Through many conversations the idea of a global music collective was born. This developed into the Artistic Freedom Collective which now has over 400 members globally. The services that we provide free of charge for our artists include: A dedicated social networking site - www.afcollective.com, a 24/7 radio station - AFCradio featuring many of our artists music, regular live gigs, festivals and promotion services."

We look forward to meeting old and new friends so come and see us at the Fringe Stage where you will receive a warm welcome from the Artistic Freedom Collective."

Friday 10 July to Sunday 12 July 2009
Now a great 3-day event on our superb festival main site.
