The Spratton Fringe goes from strength to strength.
Hot on the heels of the increasingly popular Open Mic evenings at the village pub comes the latest gig at Spratton Hall School.
Despite the extreme weather Saturday, Feb 7 heard the village rocking to a superb night of music from The Angels Share ably supported by Guilsborough’s The Disclaimers.
The large and lively audience was soon on its feet as The Disclaimers rattled through some classic numbers from the likes of Fairport Convention, Lindisfarne and, of course, The Proclaimers.
With the audience well and truly warmed up The Angels Share hit the ground running and launched into a very up tempo set slowing down only occasionally to let the crowd catch its breath. As well as a range of traditional folk songs the band also played some old time favourites that had the audience raising the roof.
The bar did a roaring trade ensuring everybody was well lubricated and no one suffered from dehydration due to their exertions on the dance floor.
It was great music ,great fun as well as a great aerobic workout!
Is there a Keep Fit DVD in there just waiting to pop out?
A superb night enjoyed by all!
